Claim: This is a recent video that shows Haryana getting snow.
Since the beginning of the new year, North Indians have been experiencing bone-chilling cold weather. According to reports, the month of January 2023 may go down as the region's coldest, with temperatures as low as -4 degrees Celsius between January 14 and January 19.
A video of a car driving on what appears to be a snow-covered road has also gone viral amid this. A green signboard in the video with the words "Barwala" written in both English and Hindi suggests that the people who shared it claimed to be from the Haryana village of Barwala.

We noticed that many people responded to the viral tweets, saying that the video showed the aftermath of hailstorms and not snowfall.
We also noticed that the video contained the watermark “Fb.com/hrroadwaysfans”. Subsequently, we looked for the Facebook page @hrroadwaysfans, and found that it had shared the same video on December 27, 2022.
Using keyword search, we found a longer and much older version of the viral video. A YouTube channel shared it on March 14, 2020, with the title: “Barwala by pass # hailstorm #full rain fall barwala news”.
Thus, it’s clear that an old video showing the aftermath of a hailstorm in Haryana is being falsely shared as a recent video of snowfall there.
Conclusion: This video has been up for more than two years. Additionally, this video depicts the aftermath of a hailstorm rather than snowfall.
