Does a photograph Show Jackie Kennedy Reaching For Help After JFK's Assassination

Claim: A photograph shows Jackie Kennedy reaching for help in the moments after President John F. Kennedy was assassinated in 1963.

The above image has been shared by several Twitter accounts that specialize in old photographs, including @OldPicsArchive and @HistoryInPics, as an authentic photograph of former first lady Jackie Kennedy attempting to get help in the aftermath of her husband's assassination in Dallas in November 1963.

The manner in which Jackie Kennedy reached out across the back of the presidential limousine as her husband was shot, while Special Agent Clint Hill rushed to her aid, is depicted realistically in this image, which was taken from the well-known Zapruder film of the event:

Although the image at the top of this page may appear to be real, it is not: From the roadside, directly in front of the presidential limousine, no observer or reporter could have taken a picture like that. A reenactment of the assassination that was staged for the 1977 ABC television movie "The Trial of Lee Harvey Oswald" coincided with the taking of this picture.

According to a press release released to promote the 1977 television movie, the three individuals depicted in this photograph are not Hill or JFK, the former First Lady, but rather actor Don Gazzaway, actress Christine Rose, and stuntman Larry Hill:

Fact: After her husband, President John F. Kennedy, was shot by an assassin, Secret Service agent Clinton Hill (stuntman Larry Hill) rushes to get Jacqueline Kennedy (actress Christine Rose) back into the car. All of the action was filmed in Dallas for a TV reenactment movie.
