As the film's insanely viral track Naatu Naatu won Best Song at the 80th Golden Globe Awards in Los Angeles, members of the Hindi film community were united in their joy and gave a big shout out to team RRR. "Congratulations RRR for winning the Golden Globe Award... A most well deserving achievement," tweeted Bollywood veteran Amitabh Bachchan. In Telugu, Big B added a message that roughly read, "Congratulations on the win." Our nation was proud of you." Team RRR was also wished well by Salman Khan, Priyanka Chopra, Akshay Kumar, Abhishek Bachchan, Kareena Kapoor, and AR Rahman.

Priyanka Chopra, who has attended the Golden Globe Awards quite a few times as a presenter, also congratulated team RRR. Naatu Naatu was competing with some of the year's biggest hits, such as Carolina by Taylor Swift from Where the Crawdads Sing, Ciao Papa from Pinocchio by Guillermo del Toro, and Hold My Hand by Lady Gaga from Top Gun: Lift Me Up and Maverick from Black Panther: Wakanda Forever prevailed. RRR was also up for a nomination for Best Non-English Language. In that category, however, the historical drama Argentina, 1985 from Argentina took home the trophy.
