Avatar: The Way of Water Becomes 7th Highest Grossing Film in History

 


With $1.7 billion, "'Avatar: The Way of Water" surpasses "Jurassic World" to become the seventh highest grossing film in history. 

The Way of Water is proving to be a true blockbuster hit, going above and beyond all expectations. Due to the success of the second sequel, the fourth and fifth Avatar films will be produced, according to director James Cameron just recently. With $1.7 billion USD worldwide, the film has now surpassed Jurassic World as the seventh highest grossing film in history, continuing its upward trend.

The Way of Water has brought in $1.19 billion worldwide and $517 million in North America alone just a month after its release. The film is now the fifth highest grossing international release, just behind Avatar: The Beginning, Titanic, and Avengers: Infinity War. Avengers and Endgame: The Endgame The second Avatar film is currently the pandemic era's second-largest and highest-grossing 2022 release.

The Way of Water is gaining ground on Spider-Man: With $1.91 billion USD, No Way Home is the sixth highest-grossing film of all time. The second installment has a chance of reaching $2 billion USD worldwide at the rate of its success. Only Avatar (2.9 billion USD) and Avengers: Infinity War are among the five films in history to have grossed more than $2 billion USD.
