US Jet Shot Down Another Object Flying Over Alaska

According to John Kirby, a spokesperson for the White House, the object was much smaller than a massive Chinese balloon that crossed the United States last week and was shot down by a US fighter jet off the Atlantic coast.

The White House reported that a US fighter jet shot down an unidentified object over Alaska on Friday, though the target's purpose or origin remained a mystery.

According to John Kirby, a spokesperson for the National Security Council, "The president ordered the military to down the object." He stated that the incident occurred within the last hour, around 1930 GMT.

According to Kirby, the object was significantly smaller than a massive Chinese balloon that crossed the United States last week and was shot down by a US fighter jet on Saturday off the Atlantic coast.

He claimed that it was flying at approximately 40,000 feet and was "roughly the size of a small car."

According to Kirby, it could be recovered because it fell into frozen water and went down in northern Alaska near the Canadian border.

He stated, "We do expect to be able to recover the debris, since it fell not only within our territorial space but also what we believe to be frozen water, so a recovery effort will be made." Since the debris fell within our territory, he added,

Because the object posed "a reasonable threat" to aviation, Biden ordered the shootdown.

However, Kirby emphasized that the object is unknown at this time.

He stated, "We do not know who owns it, whether it is owned by the state or by a corporation." We are unable to comprehend the entire goal."

However, before the aircraft was shot down, the US military sent a plane to observe the object, and "the pilot's assessment was that this was not manned."
